Benefits Administrator Jobs in Michigan

A Benefits Administrator in the human resources industry is primarily responsible for managing and administering the employee benefits programs of a company. Important skills for a Benefits Administrator include strong communication and negotiation skills, knowledge of legal and tax implications of benefits packages, attention to detail, and good organizational and administrative skills. They also need to be able to work with confidential information. A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field is typically required. Certifications like Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) can be beneficial. Prior to becoming a Benefits Administrator, a person may have roles such as Human Resources Assistant, Benefits Coordinator, or HR Generalist.
