Job Description
Comprehensive Mental Health Systems, Inc., a nonprofit organization, isrecruiting for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The HumanResources Generalist will contribute to CMHS?s people strategies,organizational development, building culture, and other Human Resourcesspecific or business initiatives. We are seeking a person with a strongwork ethic, a commitment to our values of respect, integrity, innovationand compassion. Must be able to work effectively across teams andsupport staff in a confidential and professional manner. Requirements ?Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers toensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. ? Maintainpersonnel files and databases ? Currently using Paycom for payroll andonboarding. ? Interpret and explain personnel policies, benefits andprocedures to employees or job applicants ? Track and update employeetrainings and reports ? Assist in new hire orientation and onboardingprocess ? Arrange background checks, verify references and professionalcredentials ? Oversee enrollment in all benefit plans ? Handle allworkers compensation insurance claims ? Oversee and track FMLA andunemployment claims ? Advertise open positions and screen resumes ?Providing trainings and updates to managers and staff on any policychanges and/or HR related topics ? Performs customer service functionsby answering employee requests and questions. ? Completes Forms I-9,verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. ? Maintains accurateand up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. ?Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employeesrelative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes. ? Excellentverbal and written communication skills. ? Excellent organizationalskills and attention to detail. ? Working understanding of humanresource principles, practices and procedures. ? Excellent timemanagement skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. ? Proficientwith Microsoft Office Suite or related software. ? Other HR relatedtasks as required Qualifications ?
