About the Role

The COOL company is searching for a Director of People to help support our amazing multicultural team across several countries. We are looking for a candidate who could lead the organization's people strategy, oversee talent acquisition, promote employee engagement, and manage performance management across global locations, ensuring a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Three (3) days in the office each week.
  • Oversee the compliance of the company in each country with team members
  • Holding the entire team to a high benchmark
  • Ensure a positive global workplace culture that integrates all of the different companies and products as one.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, including recruitment, onboarding, retention, increasing talent density, and reduction of low performer strategies.
  • Manage performance management systems and processes.
  • Promote open communication and collaboration across the organization.
  • Create, review, and update global people policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and best practices.
  • Use data and metrics to inform key decisions and measure the effectiveness of people programs.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for the people function.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure alignment and consistency across different offices and cultural contexts.
  • Build strong relationships with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Manage the people operations team, providing guidance and support.
  • Oversee HR processes and systems, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage compensation and benefits administration across international offices, as well as setting up compensation bands and structures.
  • Be a very hand on doer

Qualifications

Professional Competencies

  • 8+ years of experience in people operations and management experience
  • Experience with managing team voluntary and involuntary team turnover
  • Track record of growing a high performance culture
  • Experience in managing HR and compliance needs at a global scale.
  • Track record of developing and implementing global people strategy, aligning it with business goals.
  • Comfortable working closely with the company's leadership team to advise on people strategy
  • Experience leading small People Team's to help them
  • History of providing leadership/C-suites and guidance to the people team and other stakeholders.
  • Successful in building strong relationships with other key leaders
  • A background in working in startups is a bonus
  • Experience with acquisitions would be a large advantage
