Now hiring! The Human Resources Intern performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, benefits management and payroll functions.
This position requires an extremely perceptive person, who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. He/she must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the business needs. Part time with opportunity for more hours.
- Process employment applications and assist with interviews
- Complete background checks and employment verifications
- Develop and create new recruiting ideas
- Assist with new hire orientation
- Meet monthly grass roots recruiting goals
- Maintain Applicant Tracking System
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Strong computer skills necessary
- Able to multi-task and remain calm under pressure; can adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills; able to edit work for spelling and grammar and present numerical data effectively
- Friendly, professional, and helpful to callers, co-workers, and visitors
- Problem-solver; able to accurately identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations
- Must be 21 or older
