Description of Work:
Responsible for implementing recruitment strategy within assigned territory and provide regular updates to Admissions Leadership. Utilize recruitment strategies to effectively recruit and enroll new international students to Nebraska. This team member will provide college counseling to prospective students, their parents, and international partners around the world. The International Recruitment Specialists responsible for presenting the benefits of UNL to prospective students and their families within assigned territory. This position will represent UNL at high school visits, college fairs, community college visits, and other external events. The International Recruitment specialist is responsible for serving as UNLs transfer contact for international prospective students and their families. Responsible for interpreting admission, financial aid, and university policy to the general public. This position is located on the UNL campus but extensive travel is required. This position requires many nights and weekends during peak times.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Public speaking experience essential. Ability to work independently necessary. Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures required. Experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation software necessary. Must have ability to manage multiple priorities and complete assigned projects on time. Ability to learn new technologies required. Previous international experience necessary. Must have a valid drivers license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive campus involvement as an undergraduate. Experience working as a student recruitment ambassador or tour guide in Admissions, Housing, Orientation leader or academic college desirable. Prefer experience with extensive travel.
