Agency Overview

Job Duties

Serves as an unclassified employee pursuant to Section 3301.13 O.R.C. and performs the following educational and/or research duties:

Assists Section Chief in leading the design and implementation of the regional system of support as identified in ORC Chapter 3312 and the framework for Ohio's Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).

Serves as the agency point of contact for regional system of support and Multi-Tiered System of Supports in the Office of of School and District Improvement.

o Attends SST Directors meetings hosted by the Department

Coordinates cross-agency team to assist in the redesign of the regional system of support.

Participates in cross-agency team to develop data entry system to track improvement and special education support services provided by the regional system of support.

Provides policy analysis and recommendations.

Identifies opportunities for streamlining procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Coordinates and facilitates development of an RFP for fiscal agents for regional system of support.

Participates in annual conference planning committee and provides direction as needed

Develops and Coordinates Professional Learning Opportunities for agency and regional support staff including:

Plan Do Study Act planning process

Data literacy for TRAC or successor system

Service Delivery Agreements development and internal review

Regional system of support progress reporting and internal review

Assists in the leadership of an effective office through the supervision of assigned staff, including:

Evaluates performance.

Approves/disapproves leave.

Assigns and reviews work.

Provides training and progressive discipline as necessary.

Represents Office of School and District Improvement relevant cross agency leaderships and work functions.

Demonstrates commitment to building leadership capacity (as individual and for supervised staff).

Other duties as assigned.

Unusual Working Conditions: Requires travel throughout State of Ohio and may require overnight stay. (Must be willing & able to secure a valid Driver's License OR supply your own transportation.)

The work location of this position is 25 South Front Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. You will be required to report to this work location full-time, if selected.

If this position is filled with an internal employee who has an approved telework agreement, the employee may be required to report in-person during the initial training period.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of a graduate core program in one of the following areas (i.e., business administration, public administration, Juris Doctorate, economics, organizational development, public policy and 3 years of experience in program oversight or administration which included program evaluation, strategic planning, policy analysis and development, implementation of Lean strategies, data analysis, and managing cross-functional teams.

OR Completion of an undergraduate core program in one of the following areas (i.e., business administration, public administration, law, economics, communications, organizational development, public policy); and 4 years of experience in program oversight or administration which included program evaluation, strategic planning, policy analysis and development, implementation of Lean strategies, data analysis, and managing cross-functional teams.

OR 6 years of experience in program oversight or administration which included program evaluation, strategic planning, policy analysis and development, implementation of Lean strategies, data analysis, and managing cross-functional teams.
