Position Overview
The HR Representative plays a vital role in creating an exceptional experience for our team members through dedicated support, service-focused solutions, and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture. As a trusted partner to both team members and leadership, this role ensures seamless delivery of HR customer service and the efficient processing of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) badging requirements while building strong relationships across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
People
- Build trust and serve as a crucial point of contact in HR Solutions, providing friendly, responsive support for team member inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment matters
- Create efficient and positive candidate experiences through the various steps of LAWA badging, fingerprinting, and background checks
Processes
- Assist in delivering exceptional onboarding experiences for new team members, conducting welcoming onboarding sessions and ensuring proper documentation for each new hire is completed correctly and in a timely manner
- Ensure smooth, timely completion of employment verification requests and background checks
- Support and help coordinate efficient and engaging recruitment processes and interactions with new hires
Profit
- Champion initiatives that enhance team member engagement
- Implement creative solutions that improve HR service delivery while maintaining cost effectiveness
- Assist Talent Acquisition Department with reporting and analytics on hiring efficiencies
Required
- Experience with exceptional customer service delivery and onboarding facilitation
- 2+ years of HR experience in a generalist or representative role, demonstrating progression in service excellence
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws, with a focus on positive team member relations
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
Preferred
- Experience with ATS and HRIS systems that enhance team member service delivery
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to read and write in English and Spanish
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with keen attention to detail and focus on team member satisfaction
- Excellence in interpersonal communication with genuine commitment to confidentiality and building trust
- Creative problem-solving abilities with focus on positive resolutions
Working Conditions & Requirements
- Full-time in-office position
- Office environment requiring prolonged periods at desk and computer work
- Reports to Supervisor, HR Solutions
Our Compensation & Benefits:
Pay range of: $21.00 to $22.50 per hour depending on experience
