We are working with a multi generation construction company in the Bohemia area who is looking for a payroll manager that has union payroll experience along with construction experience. This is a great opportunity to join a company that offers work life balance and values it's employees.

Overview
Job Responsibilities:

- Full charge payroll responsibilities for our group of companies

- Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls

- Manage Payroll 4 Construction (P4C) software including setups of new employees, pays, deductions, fringes as needed.

- Maintain Union setups within payroll software and adjust as needed for regular rate changes and new Unions setups when applicable.

- Communicate directly with Field Foreman and Director of Field Operations regularly on field payrolls as needed.

- Maintain all employee electronic files. Union/Field and Office.

- Maintain company wide employee Paid Time Off (PTO) balances

- Reconcile and timely pay all Union Benefits due on weekly basis to ensure no discrepancies exist upon 3rd party CPA audit inspections.

- Prepare and submit all required Certified Payroll reports.

- Calculate and reconcile weekly 401K employee deductions and process payments accordingly.

- Reconcile medical insurance deductions and approve monthly invoices

- Process weekly employee travel expense reimbursements.

- Maintain OSHA files, Workers Comp, Medical Insurance.

- Prepare new employee offer letters and other payroll/HR Functions

Ideal candidates will have:

- Minimum of 5+ years commercial construction Union Payroll Management experience.

- Prior experience with NYC and Long Island Union Carpenters payroll

- Prior experience Construction Accounting software

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Must have strong understanding of Gross to Net Payroll calculations and taxes.

- Must have excellent computer and communication skills as well as a positive attitude and take charge initiative.
