Job Title: Non-Profit Jr. RecruiterPay: $28/hr pay rateSchedule: Mon-Fri, 9 am- 5 pmStart time: Immediate after interviewLength: 3-4 months, possibly ongoingLocation: Downtown Brooklyn Job Summary: We are seeking a Recruiting Specialist for a non-profit organization dedicated to providing social support, counseling, health and mental health services, education, and supportive housing to at-risk children, youth, and families in underserved minority communities in Brooklyn. The Recruiting Specialist will collaborate on all recruiting initiatives. This role will involve reviewing and selecting qualified candidates to present to hiring managers while working closely with HR personnel to ensure a seamless onboarding experience. Responsibilities include screening and onboarding candidates for various positions, such as Director, Assistant Director, Supervisor, Therapist, Case Manager, Billing Specialist, Executive Assistant, and Counselor. The Recruiting Specialist will also participate in broader HR development initiatives, providing expertise, leadership, and support as needed. Essential Job Functions:Maintaining a pipeline of appropriate candidates to meet current and future staffing needsAssist with Job Posting processConduct interviews with the prospective candidatesProcess Onboarding of new Hired candidatesHandle other HR responsibilities as directed by the Director of Human Resources and support the HR Team as needed. QualificationsMust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyPast experience in working at a non-profit.Proven experience in managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, and interviewsSkilled at prioritizing tasks and managing workflows in fast-paced environments to meet deadlinesDeep knowledge of innovative sourcing techniques and effective recruitment practices across various platformsMust be tech-savvy and proficient in HR tracking systems with the ability to master new technologies quicklyCommand of Microsoft Office tools and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)Excellent at building relationships and communicating effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and leadershipCollaborative approach to understanding role requirements and ensuring alignment with organizational goals within Stakeholder Management.Expertise in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing key activities to achieve long-term and short-term objectivesUnderstanding of recruitment compliance, non-profit regulations, and working with diverse populations, including individuals with special needsCommitted to inclusive hiring practices and promoting diverse candidate poolsStrong analytical and critical thinking skills to address recruitment challenges and optimize processesAn associates degree or comparable experience preferredAnd at least 1 year of human resources experience We are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
