Purpose:
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department in partnership with the Human Resources Business Partner to facilitate HR processes at assigned business locations. This role provides administrative support to the HR function including record-keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry and enforcing company policies and practices.
Essential Duties:
- Process all transactions throughout the employee life cycle to include: lead all new hire pre-employment activities such as background checks and employee eligibility verifications, assist with onboarding, create profile and make necessary changes in HRIS, and communicate changes through the HR notification system.
- Aid in the administration of human resources policies and procedures to support the business locations while incorporating the company vision, mission and values. Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Involved in coordinating offboarding and exit interviews including planning, follow-up with associates, and evaluating the process to ensure that it has been effective.
- Maintain the employee engagement and incentive programs including Employee Service Awards, Retirement awards, New Hire Kits, Baby Boxes and Referral Bonuses.
- Ensures records and files are maintained in accordance with State and Federal employment laws.
- Assists in resolving employee conflicts and fostering positive employee relations through effective communication and mediation.
- Maintain and update HR information systems (HRIS) to ensure accuracy in employee data and records.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including organizing events, preparing documentation, and other HR-related tasks.
- Participate in various HR projects and initiatives as needed.
- All other reasonable duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a generalist HR role or similar position.
- Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (experience with [HR software] preferred).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, and includes benefits such as the following:
